All students are invited to participate in the Winthrop Science Festival on Tuesday, March 31, from 6:30-7:30 PM. Individuals and groups from grades K-5 are welcome to share a science or engineering project that they have worked on. Ideas include performing an experiment, designing an invention, or assembling a collection. Students display their work to the Winthrop community attending the festival.
While not required, participants are encouraged to demonstrate the scientific method: Ask a question, do background research, construct a hypothesis, perform an experiment, collect and analyze data, make a conclusion, and share results.
Projects or displays must be safe for all ages. This event is not a contest (no judging). Tri-fold display boards will be available for upright display of your research/data if desired by mid-March. A follow-up email will be sent for board pick-up (please provide contact info). Register here.
